An opportunity to see just how Ballater looked over 100 years ago (1894/5) courtesy of Alexander Wilson, Amateur Photographer who was simply interested in general architecture. The Bugle would also like to thank Dundee Central Library for making the images available and David Stewart, a volunteer worker at Dundee Central Library, for enhancing them digitally for greatly improved clarity.

What a joy!!! Not a car, yellow line or traffic warden in sight! Note the horse manure on the road in most of the images and absolutely no thoughts of carbon footprints or wind farms either!
