STRANGE HAPPENINGS AT BALLATER GOLF CLUB
Golf Club Feud Rumbles On
Our hard working sports correspondent has
uncovered more details of the long running feud between the Ballater Golf Club
Committee and The Bridge Club.
Two years ago the golf club threw their
cards on the table and withdrew permission for the bridge club to play their
weekly match in a secluded corner of the club lounge area.
They rescinded this a year later as the
result of an in depth investigation by The Bugle, and with great glee the
Bridge Club returned there on Monday nights during the summer
months.
The Bugle has received vital information
from a source extremely close to the hierarchy of the Bridge Club that once
again the Golf Club Committee has wielded a big club and slammed the door
on the poor reticent card players yet again. This has broken the hearts of the
well behaved and willing to please bridge players who have tried every bid they can contrive to
reverse this.
This is a grand slam to their ambitions and
are desperate to have this decision reversed once again. We wonder what
cards they might have up their sleeves.
A member of the Bridge Club who wishes to remain anonymous, has told the
Bugle 'We will not stand for the three card trick under any circumstances'.

The Bugle's Sports Desk and video team recently captured exclusive footage of a grudge football match between a combined football team consisting of members of Ballater PROBUS and Ballater BRIDGE CLUB (red shirts) versus the youthful Ballater Village Football Team (blue shirts) at Monaltrie Park. Our Chief Sports Correspondent has spoken to sources extremely close to Chelsea Football Club in London, who say the manager of the Probus/Bridge Club Team is a strong favourite to take over the managers position at Chelsea due to the recent sacking of Avram Grant.
