When asked what the secret was to her long life she said " A healthy lifestyle. I try to keep the ciggies down to around 50 a day and limit myself to just one bottle of whisky a day as well".
Bugle Global Exclusive! 'Mary Celeste' Found Near River Dee In Ballater From Our Maritime Correspondent The Mary Celeste (sometimes incorrectly spelled Marie Celeste) was a brigantine discovered in the Atlantic Ocean unmanned and under sail heading towards the Strait of Gibraltar
in 1872.
The fate of the crew is the subject of much speculation;
theories range from alcoholic fumes to underwater earthquakes, along
with a large number of fictional accounts. The Mary Celeste is often described as the archetypal ghost ship.

New High Tech Cash Machines Destined For Ballater Bank From The Bugle's Financial Editor
The Royal Bank of Scotland having taken massive financial losses recently due to the sub prime mortgage market collapse, has hurriedly designed a new cashpoint (hole in the wall) machine in order to save and retain what money they do have in their seriously depleted coffers.
Pictured below is an example of the 'high' tech cashpoint ordered for the Ballater branch in Bridge Street.
Any customer under 6 feet 6 inches tall will experience the greatest difficulty in obtaining their money. Cassie's Emporium in Bridge Street reports an increase in enquiries for collapsable ladders and small footstools.
